It is always fun to find a bit about the history of some of your favorite products. I loved learning about Victoria ! This is a sauce we use quite often….
In 1929, the founding family arrived in Brooklyn from Italy and started a business using a handful of fresh, premium ingredients, and a slow cooking process. Over 85 years later, they maintain their authentic approach and, inspired by the energy of Brooklyn. Apart from its old world Italian charm, the gondola embodies elegance, romance, and a deliberate slowness.
Victoria combines a slow kettle-cooking process and uses only the finest ingredients, never adding preservatives, water, paste, or sugar to our sauces… because your family is worth it. Victoria premium pasta sauces using 100% Italian tomatoes, 100% imported olive oil and handpicked fresh onion, garlic, and herbs which are slow kettle-cooked to deliver a homemade taste.
All great movies, novels, and romances begin with something. Directly with farmers in Italy – Cooked tomatoes release larger amounts of lycopene, an antioxidant shown to help prevent illnesses like cancer and heart disease.
Fresh Basil & Onions
They use fresh garlic, onion, and basil. Their basil is sourced locally right here in their backyard: Brooklyn, New York. They visit the Brooklyn Terminal Market to find the freshest basil plants. The leaves are then hand-selected and chopped. Expect nothing less.
Garlic – Not only that, but it’s so beneficial to the human body, it’s been used as a natural medicinal ingredient for centuries. Research shows that garlic, full of antioxidants and antibacterial properties, is great for internal health—it can aid the immune system by fighting against infections and cancer, as well as the circulatory system by helping to prevent high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease.
Only fresh olive oil, which contains vitamins A, D, E and K. It’s a diet staple in the Mediterranean region, known for extremely low rates of heart disease and the highest adult life expectancies. Olive oil is also an Omega-3 polyunsaturated fat: a “good fat” said to help lower “bad”cholesterol, promote mental acuity, and enhance brain development.
I just tried this amazing amazingness – Their flagship, slow-cooked marinara gets an updated twist. For our Avocado Oil Marinara, they sauté our fresh onions and garlic in antioxidant rich avocado oil. Now you can have all the benefits of avocado oil with the traditional Italian flavor you already love. A delicious indulgence you can feel good about eating.

So I had the @seniorsontherun over for dinner and they were my testers of my yummy pasta and my meatballs with Pereg breadcrumbs along with the Avocado marinara sauce from Victoria — here we go :
Victoria is a brand that I knew for a bit now and love and then I just became familiar with Pereg which has a huge selection of items from quinoa to breadcrumbs to seasonings…. I recently tried their breadcrumbs to make meatballs & meatloaf with – it had a bit of “kick” my dad likes to say – called Spicy breadcrumbs that did do just that add a little spice to our meatloaf …. Spicy Panko breadcrumbs are a little spicy and savory which add that extra kick to any meal.
I should know Pereg because they are so rich in their history Family owned since 1906, Pereg Natural Foods strives to provide the best spices and grains the world has to offer. Love this they began as a small cart of spices at the open air market and to this day they have spices in our blood. All of the brand’s offerings are 100% pure, fresh and natural and never include any additives, preservatives, fillers, MSG, or food coloring. In addition, every product is OU Kosher certified, and many are Non-GMO Project verified, gluten-free certified, Whole Grain Council approved, and vegan.
Pereg Natural Foods encompasses over a century of history, expertise, professionalism and know-how that have been passed on through the generations. The Pereg family believes food should provide comfort and connect people to family, culture, community and the planet.
They have a lot of different choices –
I also loved the taste of their Quinoa pasta – as you know I am a fan of the Q word … I love this 100% made from quinoa – which makes it 100% gluten free – all natural.
I am sent a ton of bars but I have to say these are OUTSTANDING – they tasted so natural and I am seriously addicted – for $7.99 for 6 of these that are RAW – it is so awesome I can’t even express the value here – look at the ingredients – Organic Shredded Coconut, Organic Dates, Amarna Cherry, Da Amarna Cherry syrup, Cranberries, Raw Sugar
Also they have beautiful flours for cooking I used some of the coconut flour for blueberry – chia – walnut muffins and they were fantastic and fluffy!
Pereg’s wide selection of exotic whole grains, pastas, and seasonings perks up your table as well as your health. Fresh and all-natural, they are verified non-GMO and certified kosher; many products are vegan and gluten-free. Pereg never uses MSG or food coloring.
