We teamed up the first time with BROTHER with just Tabitha & myself to work on a project during Feb NYFW then we teamed up with them again in a bigger way to work with them on our STYLE 360 fashion show and then a Holiday program. We were working with them to promote : Fashion label LIVARI and Brother, the exclusive sewing brand for LIVARI, announced two dates for their 2017 Fashion Alchemy Holiday Lab. Join them on Thursday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 12 for demos with Brother sewing and embroidery machines and to check out a pop-up shop with pieces from LIVARI and Tabii Just. LIVARI is a collaboration between Alysia Reiner (award-winning actress from Orange is the New Black and Better Things; and an environmental and feminist activist and producer), Claudine DeSola (celebrity stylist and founder of Caravan Stylist Studio), and Tabitha St. Bernard-Jacobs (designer of Tabii Just and Women’s March organizer). LIVARI is a luxury fashion line that was created with the sole purpose of empowering women. It is zero waste, women-led, women-designed and made ethically in New York.
“ LIVARI has teamed with Brother International Corporation to showcase innovative design and creativity in action via live demonstrations of its SE600 sewing and embroidery machine, and the CM350 home cutting machine with built-in scanner. LIVARI designers trust and use Brother products to create their collection and want to encourage others to invoke their creativity this holiday season. “We are thrilled to showcase our products and very excited to work alongside the LIVARI team,” said Albert Santamaria, Senior Director of Marketing in the Home Appliance Division at Brother International Corporation. “Our partnership reveals the ongoing promise Brother has to inspire the next generation of sewers, emerging designers and crafters, and we are proud to stand behind them, their inspirations and their dreams.”
The SE600 is a combination sewing and embroidery machine with a large color touch LCD display screen which allows you to see your designs in color before stitching them out. The machine has 80 built-in designs and 9 built-in fonts, perfect for monogramming and personalizing holiday décor and fashions.
The ScanNCut CM350 is the world’s first home electronic cutting machine with built-in 300 DPI scanner allowing you to cut a wide array of fabrics and materials–everything from paper and vinyl to wood veneer and leather. Save time by cutting multiple pieces with one press of a button. The built-in scanner even allows you to reuse small scraps to complete your design, limiting waste.
LIVARI has teamed up with FABSCRAP who will be at both events talking about their services and selling small bundles of fabric starting at $3.00 to encourage at home crafting and practicing sewing techniques.
Our first one was at the awesome FIT Design Entrepreneur Collaborative, 520 8th Avenue in the Fashion District – this was made possible by Lisa Kesselman.
The second event was at Caravan Stylist Studio at The Gregory Hotel, 42 West 35th Street
We worked with GOODIE GIRL COOKIES on supporting us with all the treats and we also tried to get all guests hooked on my personal favorite Kombucha by HEALTH-ADE with their special holiday cheer blend !
We also were able to gift the most beautiful items to members of the press that attended from Amborella Organics – https://www.amborellaorganics.com/
I personally think this is such a great hostess gift – with flavors like : Lavender & Lemongrass, Sage & Marshmallow, Rosemary & Mint, Lemon & Thyme, Peach & Marigold, and Vanilla & Hibiscus. The one that was sent for us to share with press & bloggers was Champagne & Roses – For the myriad of reasons that one dozen roses may be just the right gift to self or someone you love today. Champagne & Roses / Grow: Rosetta Cosmo – *Pure cane sugar, *beet sugar, *corn syrup solid, spring water, *champagne flavoring, *rose petals.
I love their story : Amborella Organics is for customers to eat an organic lollipop— with hints of roses, sage, rosemary, lavender, lemongrass, thyme, hibiscus and marigold— and plant their biodegradable stick, made from recycled paper in soil to simultaneously decompose and grow. The heirloom seed inside the lollipop stick correspond to the herb or flower inside our purpose driven candy. From the foraged flowers and herbs that shape our logo, to the turmeric and carrot natural dyes in our lollipops, Amborella Organics is a sustainable and eco-conscious company. Combining delicious treats alongside natures beauty and sentiment brings this company full circle, and we find great joy in continuing to define what a seed-bearing lollipop is all about.
The bottom line of the event is to encourage guests to not only buy items during the holidays but to encourage makers – make your gifts – and this showed how easy it is to learn how to make an ornament or embroider a gift. The other way is to buy a maker one of these amazing machines for the holidays a gift that they can use throughout the year.
