Very Bradley’s preview was awesome — so much color, amazing patterns and so much inspiration from fun journeys. The collection makes you want to pack a bag and go somewhere exciting. I loved everything from the passport covers to the weekend bags to the scarves to these bags with this beautiful pattern of birds on it. They showcased their jewelry collection and lovely perfume scents. Guess what they will be launching their shoes including slip ons, fun sneakers and wellies & bathing suits soon too ! There is so much exciting news at Vera Bradley…. and I need that watermelon bag asap too ! I was never at a Vera Bradley preview before but I am so glad I attended because there were so many great pieces and hope we can incorporate them in some styling opportunities soon!

Btw I wanted to do some research on the history of Vera Bradley –
The founders are : Patricia R. Miller and Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, Vera Bradley has earned a reputation as a leader in the gift industry. Creating stylish quilted cotton luggage, handbags and accessories, the company combines smart product designs with distinctive and colorful fabrics and trims.
The Vera Bradley story is a testimony to the American Dream.
While on vacation in March of 1982, Patricia and Barbara were awaiting a flight in Atlanta when they noticed a definite lack of feminine-looking luggage. The longtime friends wasted no time in correcting this situation. Within weeks, these dynamic women had created a company, named after Barbara’s mother, capable of marketing and manufacturing their cleverly designed products.
Who is Vera Bradley?
Model, Mother, Hostess and Friend. Veronica Bradley, born August 9, 1909, was the mother of Vera Bradley Co-founder, Barbara Baekgaard and even worked for the company, as a sales representative in her Miami, Florida, community until she died in the early 1990s.
Vera was a special woman, who was chosen in the 1930s by Elizabeth Arden herself to model. Vera’s classic style and grace inspired Barbara and Patricia to name their company after her in 1982. Those who knew Vera agree that her life was always full, fun and colorful!
