…for Melbourne, Australia for the Emu conference. Going to Melbourne then to Geelong then off to New Zealand and finally back to Sydney and then home in time for Thanksgiving.
This week was busy with work and planning joonbug.com’s New Years Eve parties and a bunch of other projects.
I went to DC with Marie this week to visit our client, The Humane Society of the United States. Marie even offered Obama some of her coffee while there.
It was on Veterans day whenwe went to DC we saw this cool map celebrating the United States. A big shout out to all our troops especially my cousin, Ginalyn’s husband, George. We should all salute our troops they should all be honored.
Back in NYC, I checked out the new gallery shop from the Gagosian. I saw this Damien Hirst chair I love and want. The gallery is awesome! They have great Damien Hirst, Mike Kelley, Jeff Koons and much more. It is right near two of my favorite places Sant Ambroseus and Lady M.
I decided to make my dress for some festivities on Saturday night. I wanted to do something fun so I created this navy + black feather number by using some boas. I started by making a strapless black dress with a bit of a shelf to give it some dimension and then with the help of my friend we sewed the boas around and around. I wore it to a dinner party and then over to Matt Levine’s THE ELDRIDGE for Christian Siriano’s birthday party. He is so awesome – such a nice and fun person. He is always smiling. Brad Walsh planned the suprise for him and I helped put it together. It was super fun to plan. Brad thought it would be fun to make the cupcakes with their dog on the top of it – so cute. I got to see some awesome people including David Pattillo, Reni Lane, Geneva Simms and many others. So much fun!!! A shout out to Michelle from THE ELDRIDGE super awesome to work with – she is so organized.
Check out Brad Walsh’s music – I love his music makes you want to dance !!!
Ok about to take off.
