they are so awesome and I love them so much.
They have been married for 50 years too which is really incredible.
Here are just some of my favorite pics.
The one photo of my mother with that hat was taken outside their Brooklyn house, 2 years before they were married in 1957, right before EASTER dinner.
And then the other two were taken on their honeymoon in 1959 at the Pocono Gardens in PA.
IN LOVE WITH MOM STYLE ICONS – I LOVE THIS BLOG IT IS BRILLANT and she posted pics of my mom…
Me when I was Little ….
I have been thinking a lot about my childhood lately and what awesome parents I was lucky to have. I was born on September 10th, 1974 to Raffaella and Michael DeSola. I am 100% Italian and super proud (even though some days I wish I had some Irish in me – since I love the Irish especially U2). I was born in Staten Island but then moved to Brooklyn where I attended school and met my first friend, Jason DiSanto. I had the opportunity to meet him and his sister, Ginalyn and now my godmother, Vickie as well as her husband Joe. They are the closest family to our family ( who is not related at all ) and they have become so close that I call Jason & Ginalyn cousins; I chose their mother, Vickie, to be my godmother during confirmation. My godmother at birth is my cousin, Rosanne, who is totally amazing – so I am very lucky because I have two awesome godmothers. Jason and Ginalyn were my two best friends. I have two brothers, Anthony & Michael, who are super cool but were much older then me. There is about 15 years difference between me and my older brother, Michael. I was their little princess and they were the best brothers ever. I was definitely a little surprise after my mom had my brother 13 years earlier. I am named after the French singer, Claudine Longet, because she was my grandfather’s favorite singer. My mom enrolled me in dance school at 3 years old and dancing and jumping around has been a passion ever since. My brother, Anthony, bought me a pet chick for Easter one year that I called April – it still is one of the best gifts I ever received and definitely the most memorable. I definitely had the coolest “pet” in school. I played softball because my father and brothers were huge into softball and baseball so I tried.. I think I was pretty good but I chose to do different types of dance class instead of doing any other sport. Someone else who was a very important part of my life growing up was my cousin Vinny, who I am still super close to and love to hang out with on a regular basis. He is one of the most caring and loving individuals I know and I am eternally grateful for him. I was very lucky growing up to have such good friends like Jason & Ginalyn and my cousin Vinny.
