I am an extremely lucky person. Things don’t always go the way I want them too. Things sometimes are annoying and don’t make sense. But that is life. But overall I am lucky especially right now. I have the most amazing parents. They are perfect for me. Yes we get on each other’s nerves sometimes but we love each other so much. My parents are funny in regards to humor and they are FUN – they make me laugh and giggle and they are just really the nicest people on the planet. I am so lucky to have them.
My boyfriend had a weekend planned with friends diving and hanging out with “the guys” for a bachelor party. I decided to take advantage and spend some time with my parents. Originally we were thinking of going to an island but instead we decided to go to Montauk, which we could drive too and take the doggies – Corinthos & Barrett. I have to tell you the dogs made us laugh so much that they were built in entertainment so I am glad we decided to take them.
We stayed at the Montauk Yacht Club which is such a nice hotel. It is classic and the staff is lovely and everything is very clean. It was a perfect “FAMILY PLACE”. They also welcome dogs so in my book this place is A++++. It reminds me of a place that Jackie O would stay – very nautical and fun and just simple but classy. Out of all our meals there I enjoyed lunch the best – we had a nice table outside, enjoyed fish tacos and the sun.
Now my parents are oldies but they are hipsters…. I really think my parents can pass as “SENIOR HIPSTERS” ha ha.
We hung out at Rushmeyers and they just chilled… we ate delicious food and tried the Watermelon Beer on the menu. We hung out near the tepee and on the swings and just really enjoyed ourselves.
Next up we had to end the night with ice cream and got the BEST !!! at JOHNS DRIVE IN. If you are in Montauk and you don’t have ice cream at John’s you are missing out. Holy moly – the root bear floats, the swirl ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, everything is DELICIOUS and HOMEMADE. It is a really fun place.
The next day the sun came up and we chilled by the pool – later in the day we brought Barrett on her first beach excursion – she didn’t love it. She was a bit scared. My dad kept saying – what do you expect – she is only 18 months old… it was very cute. We tried. We will try again because I think once she gets used to it she might love it.
That night we ate at the SURF LODGE…. and my parents and I got to enjoy THE DRUMS… my dad’s favorite band!!! ha ha – my dad actually knew of them and they were amazing. The sun was setting as they were playing and it was amazing to see them live in such a small venue. I love the surf lodge. I stayed there before and love the rooms, the hammocks and the ENDLESS SUMMERS ( these wine/grape cocktails – that are very lite but delicious). The new restaurant, THE BYRON is fantastic. I had the fluke and it was perfection and the tomato & cheese starter was wonderful. My parents loved the spot. Yet, we did move on for dessert – back to John’s Drive In, where we caught the tail end of the Celtics game. Yes, I am a Celtics fan now that my boyfriend is from Mass and they were winners last night !
We woke up the next morning and we enjoyed some brunch and on the way back we checked out the new suprise behind Cynthis Rowley’s store – MILK BAR ! holy moly it was just like being in New York… birthday truffles, crack pie, composte cookies… and a very cool setting.
The Cynthia Rowley store is adorable – one of my favorite designers not only for her clothes but her charm and concept – it is all so amazing !
We had a very enjoyable ride back to the City and I have to tell you I am back at home with Barrett laying next to me and so sad the parents aren’t here chilling with me. I love my parents and I am so grateful for them.
I have been to Montauk a bunch if you have any questions hit me up !

I just went to the Cayman Islands. It wasn’t truly a place that was on my “bucket list” but my boyfriend said the diving was good and I was learning how to dive ! I took all my lessons in NYC and now I had to go to the Cayman Island for 4 open water dives. Trust me it is a bit scary. It was something I swore I would NEVER do but once you get the hang of it – it is incredible. I saw a reef shark in its natural environment and saw an EEL in a hole and swam with squids and tons of beautiful fish. It is definitely challenging but it is incredible. Oh I used NEPTUNE DIVERS – check them out they are AMAZOID – their instructors made my open water dive certifications not so scary. I was scared and went originally to the “monopoly diving place” and they were mean and then someone told be about NEPTUNE and they were so kind and patient – if you are going diving in Cayman Islands go with NEPTUNE !
Something else we did was we went swimming with DOLPHINS. It is called DOLPHIN DISCOVERY. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I hate tourist traps and silly stuff and I was really thinking we were about to be in the biggest tourist trap when we signed up for this but the total opposite happened. We had an incredible experience, we swam with the dolphins, got to learn a ton about them and then we were able to have them pick us up and take us for a ride – this was truly wild ! a bit scary being under two dolphins control but incredible – I truly believe this is one of the coolest things I ever did and highly recommend it.
I stayed at a nice place but if I was to go back I would stay at the RITZ CARLTON – in the middle of the ocean they have a tube that is lined so you can lie in it and just relax. It is a bit intimidating being in the middle of the ocean but it is an also an awesome experience to be one with nature.
We did check out a day boat trip to “RUM ISLAND” another very cool experience – the island is like a camp with very pretty trendy pastel colors and the food is really great. The coolest part too is the boat ride over. It was a great day trip and I would recommend that for anyone going to Cayman Islands.
I had some great meals but my most favorite was CALYPSO GRILL – this place is first notch. It is an incredibly cute spot with amazing food. Order the sticky toffee pudding – it is the most amazing dessert I ever had and I have a HUGE sweet tooth. It was so flavorful I will remember that taste forever.
I have to thank Ales Struna at www.journeysofthespirit.com for helping me pick a great vacation spot.

I have the privilege of getting to know so many rad people through what I do and one of my favorites is STACY IGEL of Boy Meets Girl – she is not only a really fun, talented designer but she is an inspiration – she is involved in so many philanthropic activities I can not keep up with her
She just wrote about me on her blog… I feel so special…

My mom is rad and she is loved by many – thank you mom for being the best friend, mom, worker bee – you are awesome!
I am so lucky to dress a lot of actresses for the red carpet and I really would love to have some of them wear CLOVER CANYON. This is a collection by ROZAE NICHOLS, one of my favorite designers ever. I sold a few of the collections at CARAVAN and now love to wear CLOVER CANYON – it is an amazing collection. This collection would make an actress stand out on the red carpet – it is smart, beautiful, visual dressing. It is stimulating & makes a statement.

Caboodles & Caravan Stylist Studio
Before that, I had a few lipsticks & glosses so I kept them in a pretty box. When I got my Caboodles case, it made it so easy to keep everything organized. Which is good b/c I like everything at my fingertips when I’m getting ready. This is what started that idea for me. Even better that it came in a carrying case so I could take it with me if I traveled.
Since then, I got pink & silver cases of different sizes and something I use to keep my Q-Tips/cotton rounds in. I even had a huge case that opened in the middle with roll out sides. That was my favorite because it was like a compact mini suitcase! I wouldn’t board a plane w/out it, as it fit perfectly in my Louis Vouitton duffle bag.
Clearly this was before the airlines would bark at you for trying to carry lip gloss on a plane. I mean, it’s lip gloss, not nitro glycerin.Whatever!I met Alyson (social media director for Caboodles) at The Makeup Show in LA last month. We had actually already been following each other’s blogs & on twitter. I didn’t know she did work with Caboodles until after we’d met. It was through her that I found out Caboodles was celebrating it’s 25th birthday this year and had gotten a majormakeover! The cases have all been revamped and are more fashion forward than ever! They’re all grown up and not just for teens anymore. They’re mature yet fun & sexy, perfect for women in their 20′s & 30′s. This is not a little girl’s makeup box, by any means!
Alyson then put me in touch w/Betsy who invited me to check out theCaravan Stylist Studio in Manhattan.
How could I say no? Lol!
Caravan is a wardrobing studio that brings designers, artists, celebrities together through events thrown at the studio itself, to bring attention to the eclectic mix of brands being hosted at the studio as well as to the Fashion District in general. They offer hair, makeup & wardrobe options for artists so they can learn about the new trends & amazing new designs while the artists can bring recognition to the brands all at once.
Do you follow? : )
It’s a brilliant, win/win concept! Caboodles is one of those brands, fortunately for me! Lol!
Located right in the heart of the Fashion District on 38th & 5th Ave, the studio has seen it’s share of the “who’s who” in entertainment. If you’re not a celebrity when you walk in, you will definitely feel like one walking out. I know I did!
I took some pictures to show how amazing this 2,500 sq. ft space really is!
Close up of my new baby!
So, I have to admit, I think celebrity life has it’s downfalls but this is definitely not one of them! Lol!
I had a blast and loved every second of my royal treatment. I can’t wait to stop in again to see the girls and catch up on the latest in fashion and the newest styles around the world!
Thanks again Caravan & Caboodles, I will be seeing you again soon!

Such a great dress for red carpet – a wedding – a museum event – so pretty- even an important day at work
I think this is an adorable dress with a high heel – I don’t love it with the wedge – but I think it is an interesting silhouette and cool color – it would be a great daytime red carpet look & something to wear even for non red carpet – going to an afternoon wedding, bridal shower, family party, etc
and another adorable one too :
